Banana Skin "Fake Bacon"

Yes, yes, I know November's #zerowastechallenge itself is over, but that doesn't mean we can't still find creative ways to use things that we might otherwise have thrown away.

From the start, I was intrigued by the idea of making "bacon" from banana peel. it sounded a bit hard to believe.

I was going to start this post with "I made this, so you dont have to", but the result was actually surprisingly palatable.

It didn't taste much like bacon, but it didnt taste like banana skin either, nor like banana. Chewy, savoury and actually quite pleasant.

Basically, you scrape your banana peels, and then marinade in soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic pwder and smoked paprika. I marinaded mine overnight. Then you fry them, and eat!

I used this recipe:

I dont know that i would do this on a regular basis, and to be honest, I'm not a big fan of making fruit and vegetables look or taste like meat, but it's handy to have a few recipes up your sleeve for those occasions when you are feedig someone who is vegan or vegetarian. This one will almost certainly raise eyebrows.

This is a really helpful guide on choosing the right camera gear to achieve professional results. Having the right tools is clearly essential for quality, whether in photography or in academic research. For researchers, a key part of the process is ensuring their work meets the high technical standards required by major databases. This is where a specialized Scopus Manuscript Publication Service can be invaluable, as it helps authors navigate the specific formatting and submission guidelines to increase the chances of their work being accepted and indexed, ensuring it reaches its intended academic audience.

I read the banana skin fake bacon recipe and it was fun to learn how you can make tasty vegan food with simple things from your cupboard. When I was stressed about a big essay I relied on Law project editing service once to fix the structure and it helped me learn what to change. It made me think that trying new things and getting a bit of help can make hard work more enjoyable.
